Natural Movement
Reducing the static feeling of traditional digital avatars.
In development
Traditional digital avatars often feel like statues with moving mouths. Natural movement is the layer intended to fix that โ keeping the character gently, believably in motion the way a real person is on a video call.
How it is intended to work
- Natural head movement
- Eye movement and gaze shifts
- Blinking
- Breathing-style idle animation
- Subtle posture changes
- Subtle body movement
- Conversational gestures where supported
- Smooth transitions between expressions
- Synchronization with speech
The objective is believable character presence โ not perfect replication of human movement. Small, natural, continuous motion matters more than theatrical animation.
Current status
In development. Movement behaviour is planned as part of the MVP's character system.
