Emotional Responses

Simulated behavioural responses designed to make interaction feel more natural.

In development

AIROBOTCAMSTUDIO's intended characters may visually and vocally respond to conversational context using simulated emotional behaviour. The purpose is simple: interaction feels flat when a character never reacts, so we are designing a response layer that reacts appropriately to the tone of the conversation.

What that may look like

  • Smiling in response to humour or warmth
  • Concern when the conversation turns serious
  • Surprise at unexpected input
  • Enthusiasm in upbeat moments
  • Changes in vocal tone
  • Changes in expression
  • Context-sensitive visual reactions

An honest clarification

These are computationally generated, simulated responses — selected and rendered by software, not felt by anyone.

AI characters do not possess human emotions. Emotional responses refer to generated expressions, voice and behaviour designed to support a more natural interaction.

Current status

In development. The response layer is planned as part of the MVP's behaviour system and will be tuned through testing.
